Truluck's is easily one of my favorite restaurants on the beach. Every visit is consistently amazingly dope!!!! from the warm welcome to the impeccable service. The staff always goes the extra mile to make you feel important--attentive without being overbearing, which enhances the overall experience. Now, onto the best part--the food. Simply put, it's amazing. I've yet to have a dish that wasn't excellent. This time, I started with the stone crab, oysters, and shrimp cocktail. Each was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared, making the appetizer alone worth the visit. For my entrée, I had the ribeye cooked medium, and it was absolute perfection. The crab topping took it over the top, adding the perfect touch of indulgence. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. If you're looking for top-tier seafood, exceptional service, and an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere, Truluck's is the place to go. Highly recommended!
The service was impeccable! Our server Frank knew what I wanted before I needed it. He knew the entire menu and gave great recommendations based on my likes. If I'm near the water I'm having seafood! The shrimp cocktail and calamari were amazing. But the crab claws stole show with their freshness- caught and served within 24 hours; so impressive! We had the Sea bass and grouper- both entrees filled with flavor. To top it all off, I received a personal call the next day thanking us for coming us. This is what you call GREAT service! We will be back.
We celebrated our 5th year of being married to one another. Everything was amazing!! Thank you Juan Carlos, John, Mark, and Ron for making tonight memorable. The food was delicious and views were breathtaking...not to mention the yummy food. Thank you for everything!!
Looking for Ocean views with an outside seating area, a great bar, and inside dining options all in one place then this is your spot! The waitress took her time to explain the differences between the menus and the specials even though it was a busy Feb Saturday night! The menus lite up when you opened them which was a fun touch! We had the spicy shrimp appetizer that was very good. For the meal we had a trulucks salad and a medium rare ribeye with creamed spinach and potato's! The atmosphere was amazing with everyone dressed to the 9s enjoying a beautiful Floridian night. The food was good not great but the ambiance and service made up for the main course. For dessert we had espresso martinis at the outside fire place which was the perfect was to end the night sitting outside looking at the beach!
$56 Three course menu daily until 6pm. I've been to Trulucks on Brickell and it was old, slow, and not all great experience. However, this location is pretty new, flashy, and spectacular. At first we sat in the bar for happy hour. HH is from 4-6:30pm in the bar area only. During this time it is 25% off select cocktails and wine. The regular price of the espresso martini is $19.50, but during happy hour with 25% off it was $14.75. It was pretty good. I'd rate a solid 7/10. We also had the $18 Hot & Crunchy shrimp. I don't even like shrimp, but this was good. So many toppings you can't really even taste the shrimp. Then, we moved to a table outside for dinner. We had to order before 6pm to get the special menu. I had a Cesar salad which was excellent. Up next, the 6oz filet mignon with mashed potatoes were perfect. And for dessert I had the carrot cake. The piece of carrot cake is ginormous. Great atmosphere, right along the A1A and the ocean. Perfect night to sit outside.
10 out of 10, highly reccomend! I visited Truluck's for a friend's birthday dinner, and it was an unforgettable experience. They are located right on Fort Lauderdale Beach, do not accidentally go to the old location. There is a nice patio area overlooking the beach. Unfortunately, Florida treated us to a once in a What what is this generation cold front, so we didn't get to enjoy it this time. We kicked things off at the bar while we waited for the rest of our party. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and attentive, and after a couple of Proseccos, we were shown to our table in the main dining room. Our server, Juan Carlo, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to all our needs. A nice touch was the tray of water accompaniments they bring around, offering options like cucumber, lemon, lime, and orange to elevate your water. Who doesn't love spa water! For appetizers, we had to go with the medium stone crab claws, no surprise, I love stone crab season! For dinner I had the blue crab-stuffed lobster tails, served on a bed of spinach with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I also ordered a side of roasted broccoli, which was fire! If you are a fan of crispy Brussels sprouts, this broccoli is a must try. It's cooked in a similar style and topped with grated parmesan. My friend got the petite sea bass. I love that they offer petite sizes in the fish entree as it is a great option if you don't want a huge portion or can't take leftovers home. I also am a fan of a good dirty martini and Truluck's delivered. Shoutout to the bartender for getting them just right! Overall, I had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
We came here to celebrate our birthdays, my 2 friends and I. We enjoyed a table by the windows with a great view of the ocean. The service was impeccable. My friend started with a cocktail called First Crush. Their menu offers a lot of seafood, oysters, crabs, fish. Great selection of fish, grouper, seabass, tuna and more. I had the grouper which comes with quinoa, I substituted the mashed potatoes instead. They offer half and full portions on the fish (4-8:oz). I had the full portion however the amount of mashed potatoes was far greater then the grouper. They brought us a baked Alaska for our birthdays which was really delicious, we also ordered a creme brulee.
Truluck's is an absolutely exquisite addition to the Fort Lauderdale area. With its oceanfront location and upscale atmosphere, it's the perfect place to celebrate birthdays, date nights, and just being alive in general. The service is top-notch and I'm continuously impressed by the knowledge of the waiters. As for food, I've never had a bad plate here. The crab cake is astounding, savory, and will cause many fork fights at your table if you plan on sharing this appetizer. My go-to entree is the seared ahi tuna. The delectably coated exterior with the soft and buttery taste of the fresh tuna is out of this world. For dessert, I'd recommend the off-menu special event dessert. It's ice cream and chocolate crumble that is flambé'd to perfection. Can't wait to find more excuses to visit!
While vacationing in Fort Lauderdale we had an amazing dinner at Truluck. First, the atmosphere is beautiful. We had a table facing the ocean which just added to the magical atmosphere. Next we were greeted by our server Matthew who has an amazing spirit and was excited to share everything about what was to come, especially to newcomers. He explained the notables of the drink menu and the n was off to get our order. He followed up with explaining the amazing special we lucked into just due to timing. The covered out of this world appetizers and entree notables. We started with oysters and a colossal crab claw. Fresh & tasty oysters with out of this world sauces. The colossal crab claw is a standard bearer for the restaurant, and rightfully so. Then onto Caesar salad and lobster bisque. Both were fabulous. Followed by fabulous dinner. I chose the special which was MORE colossal crab claws, asparagus and garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes(yum). Hubby wanted steak but changed his mind for the miso glazed sea bass which had an amazing flavor and the fish was beautifully done. His was served with crab fried rice - delectable ! Unbelievably, we decided to try dessert and ordered a slice of chocolate cake. Truly the Best cake I've ever had. A nice feature of the restaurant is that many dishes come with size options, which is great way to try several things without wasting food. Matthew was helpful throughout our adventure. Personable, informative, friendly and fun. Another nice touch, Michael one of the management came over to introduce himself, ensure we were enjoying ourselves and thanking us for coming in. He also checked back later and thanked us on our way out. All in all, a wonderful experience. I'd highly recommend if you want to impress a date, treat someone special or have a date night with your love of 40 years (yes we are old).
